Buffalo Tom return with "Arise, Watch"

Photobucket

Sometime shortly after midnight a few weeks ago at the Billy Ruane memorial party, Buffalo Tom jolted a slowly fading Middle East crowd with a fistful of spirited '90s alt-rock vengeance. The Boston trio co-headlined with a brisk three-song set, including Ruane favorite "Larry," but it was enough to feel like the world would be a better place -- and Boston a better city -- with an active and successful Buffalo Tom among us.

This morning our friends over at Stereogum premiered "Arise, Watch," an intense first track off Buffalo Tom's 2011 album Skins (out Feb. 15 off Scrawny Records), their first album since 2007's Three Easy Pieces. Now the teaser track, which is also posted on the band's Soundcloud page, is making its way around the interwebs. Check it out below, and peep the phlipcam video from the Ruane party after the download jump.
