It's a magical place, whether for a drink and snacks (marinated olives, almond-stuffed, bacon-wrapped dates); for wine and a cheese or charcuterie plate; for a small-portion meal (beet or arugula salads; wild mushroom tart; steamed mussels; or lamb meatballs); or for a full-fledged dinner such as we had (chicken with sage bread pudding or lamb shank with toasted orzo also recommend themselves).
Fluke is offering a four-course dinner-for-two $49 special on Wednesday and Thursday during the winter months. The entrée will change each week, but on December 1 and 2, it will be seafood paella and December 8 and 9, stuffed veal. For these dinners, as for all others at the restaurant, the chef focuses on fresh, local ingredients to produce great, home-grown tastes. The proof of that philosophy is in the pudding, so to speak, at Fluke Wine, Bar & Kitchen.
