Boston Underground Film Festival
Brattle Theatre
For its 11th installment, the Boston Underground Film Festival
floods the Bean with a tsunami of fringy fare. Feature-length
highlights include fest opener Bad Biology, a gory love story of
genitals run amok from the director of Frankenhooker; documentary The
Rock-afire Explosion, in which animatronic pizza-parlor puppets get a
new lease on life; and quirky triptych Anywhere USA. Meanwhile, those
looking to mix and match will find what they crave at the BUFF’s deftly
curated short-film collections (which include “J. Cannibal’s Tapas of
Terror,” “Psychedelicinema,” and “Ill Logic”) | Brattle Theatre, 40
Brattle St, Cambridge | Kendall Square Cinema, 1 Kendall Sq, Cambridge
