Written and performed by Jack Holmes, this stage portrait of Robert F. Kennedy received 2006 Off Broadway Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations. It tells the story of Kennedy’s last four years, from 1964, when the young attorney general was still reeling from the assassination of his brother, to the tragic night of the 1968 California primary. REMEMBERING BOBBY Writer/performer Jack Holmes’s one-man show about JFK’s younger brother, RFK: A PORTRAIT OF ROBERT F. KENNEDY, was nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award when it was presented Off Broadway in 2005-’06. Tonight it moves deeper into Kennedy territory, perhaps advancing on Hyannisport. The show starts out in 1964, when Bobby learns he is not to be Lyndon Johnson’s running mate in the upcoming election, and moves inexorably toward his victory speech in the wake of the 1968 California primary. We don’t know whether Holmes can channel the boyish attorney general, but he sure looks like RFK. The show starts an open-ended run at the Stuart Street Playhouse, 200 Stuart St, Boston | $39.50 | 800.447.7400 or www.telecharge.com.
