Despite having scored a pretty major cameo in a big-budget Hollywood movie (Going the Distance), low-fi indie outfit the Boxer Rebellion have maintained a fairly low profile, and they’re currently unsigned. (They released the first of three studio albums with Poptunes, which imploded shortly thereafter.) All the better for them, we say. The upstart DIY work ethic suits this talented, UK-based (but fronted by a Tennessean) quartet and their atmospheric, oftimes melancholy rock just fine.
